Long overdue updates

Has it really been that long?! Gosh... Wedding prep has seriously taken over my life, along with a very busy work time. But we have done some other bits and pieces around the house and here are the photos...

The Bathroom. I (Aimee) did the painting and plumbed in the sink all by myself (the cats helped a bit). A wee scottish man came in and did the tiles and "tidied" up where the wall we demolished was. He did a spectacularly crap job but he was quite sweet and had a funny little wobbly head that amused me.

The Backyard:
We lifted up a section of pavers and laid a bit of lawn in order to make the back yard appear less like a carpark, Jason installed the retic system and it actually works. His first bit of DIY, bless.

Planted a few herbs and lettuces on one side….

…and on the side where the cat bathroom is we put in some fragrant gardenias....

My baby hydrangea finally coming back to life after some helpful advice from Mum...

First magnolia of the season...

This is our amazing lush natural covering of 100+ year old grape vine, it was so very nice...

…until Jason decided to do a bit of helpful pruning. Now its a little less lush, but it is still lovely and our biggest bunches seem to have survived. We enjoyed a lovely NYE sitting out under the vine.

The Mighty Boosh was a little annoyed he wasn't allowed to join in...

The first mow…

And here are a few pics from xmas with the boys. Jason got a dart board.

Explaining to Bucket that he can't come to the beach with us...

Back from the beach, sunburned and ready for a cold one..

Kitchen and Dining

Finally got around to getting some pics of the Kitchen and Dining Room. The kitchen has had to adopt a sort of cluttered country kitchen look simply because of the limited cupboard space and nasty tiles etc. Its cute though and I do love cooking in it while Mr W sits at the island working away.

The dining room is small but perfectly formed and it fits our fab iron furniture just nicely. One day we will replace those plastic Ikea chairs... One day.
